LAVORATO, Giovanna (nee Broccolo) - In loving memory of Giovanna (nee Broccolo) Lavorato 101 years Friday, September 21st, 2012 at Health Sciences North with loving family at her side. Beloved wife of Agostino Lavorato predeceased 1982. Loving mother of Pasquale (wife Paola), Ida Marasco (husband Cesare) both predeceased, Silvio, Nella Busher (husband Ray). Cherished Nanna to Giovanna, Agostino (Kathy), Amalia (Craig), Sylvia and great grandchildren Timothy, Brianna, Kyle, and Dylan. Dear daughter of Michele and Luisa Broccolo predeceased. Dear sister of Maria Federico (husband Charles) both predeceased. Special aunt to Carmela, Dorothy, Maria and Frank. Born in Piane Crati, Cosenza, Italy where she married Agostino Lavorato in 1930. She moved to Sudbury in 1948 from Italy, joining her husband who had come earlier to secure employment. A devout Roman Catholic, she faithfully attended St. Anthony's Church and belonged to the parish CWL. She was an excellent cook who enjoyed preparing and hosting family dinners. She lived daily the lessons taught by Jesus and now joins Him and her husband in Heaven. Resting at the LOUGHEED FUNERAL HOME, 252 Regent St. at Hazel St. (Friends may call 2-5; 7-9pm Monday with parish prayers at 3pm). Funeral Mass in St. Anthony's Church 19 Mary St., Sudbury Tuesday, September 25th, 2012 at 10am. Interment in the family plot at the Park Lawn Cemetery. Donations to the Sam Bruno PET Scanner Fund or St. Anthony's Church would be appreciated.
