MCDONALD, Robert “Bob“ - The family announces with deep sorrow the sudden passing of Robert (Bob) McDonald at the age of 78 while vacationing in Vancouver, British Columbia. Dad was the loving husband of Margaret McDonald (predeceased). Devoted father of Alan (Helen) of Barrie, Gary (Caroline) of Sudbury and Carroll Rowlands (Gerry) of Garson. Proud grandfather of Sarah, Jazmyne, Bayleigh, Jamie, Eric and great grandpa to Jaydyn, Austin and Zack. He is survived by his beloved sister June Johnson (British Columbia). Special friend of Lucille, Moe and Ron. Dad loved his time at camp with the rest of his “family“. He was a regular at the nightly campfire, enjoyed spending time under the stars and sharing a beverage with everyone. Dad retired from INCO in 1992 and kept in touch with many of his work friends at the monthly breakfast. Dad enjoyed woodworking and helping anyone with building projects. Going to hockey games, concerts, car races, graduations, birthday parties, anything that involved the grandchildren he was sure to be there. Come and share with family and friends at the COOPERATIVE FUNERAL HOME, 222 Lasalle Blvd. E. (at Notre- Dame), Sudbury, Wednesday, October 3rd, 2012 from 6:00-9:00 p.m. Donations (by cheque only) to the Multiple Sclerosis Society would be appreciated.
