 McGAUGHEY, Austin M - In loving memory of Austin M. McGaughey, 69 years, who passed away Sunday, March 7th, 2010 at the Sudbury Regional Hospital-St. Joseph Health Center. Beloved husband of Delorese (Pelletier) of Hanmer. Loving father of Angela (Sylvain) Beaupre of Hanmer, Cheryl (Robert) Ranger of Timmins, Nicole (Vincze) Paparo of Val Caron and Michael (Lizette) of Hanmer. Cherished grandfather of Trevor, Caitlyn, Samantha, Steven, Meagan, Taylor, Eryka, Aryana and Olyvia. Dear son of Clarence and Ethel (Hall) McGaughey. Dear brother of Ted, Clayton (wife Helene Leroux), William, Whilerine Davis (husband Norm) and Ruth all predeceased. Son-in-law of Dollard predeceased and Cecile Pelletier of Val Caron. Sadly missed by nieces and nephews. Born in Little Current, he married Delorese in Val Caron in 1963. Austin served as an officer with the Sudbury Regional Police Force for 33 years, retiring in 1999. He was a member of the Executive Board Sudbury Regional Police Association for many years. He was an active member of St. Kevin's Parish. Austin was a member of the Master Bowlers Association for 15 years, and provided leadership for the Y.B.C. and special needs children. He was active for many years with the Valley East Minor Hockey Association. Resting at the LOUGHEED FUNERAL HOME, Val Caron/Blezard Valley Chapel, 1815 Main Street, Val Caron. Funeral Mass in St. Kevin's Church, Val Therese, Ontario Thursday, March 11th, 2010 at 11:00 a.m. Cremation at Park Lawn Crematorium. Donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or the Sudbury Police Museum would be appreciated. Prayers 3:00 p.m. Wednesday (Friends may call 2-5 and 7-9 p.m. Wednesday). Austin was a good friend and partner for many years. He will be sadly miss. Delorese , my thoughts and prayers will be with even if I cant go to the funeral, as we are in Florida.
