RICARD, Veronica “Vero“ - The family announces with great sorrow her passing on Friday, August 10th, 2012 at the age of 22 years, after a courageous one and a half year battle with cancer. Beloved fiancé of Ben Larochelle of Webbwood. Precious daughter of Paul and Lyne Ricard of Markstay. Loving sister of Sabrina Ricard of Markstay. Sadly missed by her godmother Francine Laplante and by her godfather Richard Laplante. She will also be missed by her best friends, Ashlee Morin and Chelsey Sisson, by many cousins, extended family and friends. Veronica worked at Finlandia Nursing Home as a Personal Support Worker, while studying at Laurentian University to become a Registered Nurse. The family will receive relatives and friends at the COOPERATIVE FUNERAL HOME, 222 Lasalle Blvd., Sudbury on Monday and Tuesday from 2-5 and 7-9:30 p.m. A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, August 15th, 2012 at 11 a.m. in the funeral home Chapel. Donations (by cheque only) to the Northern Cancer Foundation would be greatly appreciated.
