SCRIVER, Dora Clarissa - In loving memory of Dora Clarissa Scriver (nee Jones), 93 years, Thursday, January 26th, 2012 at Maison Vale Hospice. Beloved wife of Charles William “Chas“ Scriver predeceased 1997. Loving mother of Rod Jones (wife Shirley predeceased), Barry Scriver (wife Donna) and Brian Scriver (wife Lucille). Cherished grandmother of Brenda (husband Scott) Berkeley, Robert (wife Erin), Cassandra, Matthew, Shawn and Sarah and great grandchildren Sarah, Lucy, Charles, Gracie and Tanner. Dear daughter of Albert and Clarissa (nee Rosewell) Jones predeceased. Dear sister of Margaret Crisp (husband Nesbit) and predeceased by Harold, Boyce, Herbert, Norman and Kenneth. Sadly missed by several nieces and nephews. Dora was born in Parry Sound, where she married Charles Scriver in 1938. She had been a sales clerk at Cochrane-Dunlop and Pinto Store in Garson, retiring in 1980 with 25 years service. A proud Canadian she had worked at the CIL Plant during WWII. She had been a member of the Lion's Club. A woman of faith she belonged to Trinity United Church, Garson where she actively participated in the church's ministry and fellowship. Dora was devoted to her loving family. Dear friend of Louise Comba. Resting at the JACKSON & BARNARD FUNERAL HOME, 233 Larch St., Sudbury. Funeral Service in the R. J. Barnard Chapel Saturday, January 28th, 2012 at 11 a.m. Interment in the family plot at the Hillcrest Cemetery, Parry Sound.In lieu of flowers, donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation would be appreciated.
