SOULIÈRE, Debra (née Golka) - August 8, 1953 (Killaloe, ON) - October 1, 2012 (Sudbury, ON). Debra is survived by her loving husband, Bernard and devoted daughter, Veronika. A proud Kashub- Canadian from Barry's Bay, ON, Debra and her family settled in Sudbury and was a well-respected counsellor and popular co-worker at the W.S.I.B. Debra was also an active voice for various women's causes through being a member BPW and other women's organizations. Her many friends knew her to be wonderfully witty, childlike and loyal. Mother Earth's leading lady crusader, master chef and advocate for garlic, Debra also knew that wasting food was a sin. A woman of lists and opinions, Debra also loved talking to strangers because everyone has a story. She knew she was lucky. Environmentally conscious and determined to leave a small carbon footprint, cremation has taken place and there will be no visitation. A Celebration of Life will be held at Brystons on October 15, 2012 between 3-7pm. Donations can be made to the food bank-we need to feed people
