TAYLOR, Don - On Thursday, January 24, 2013, surrounded by his girls, and his wife, Don Taylor aged 82, died very suddenly after having heart surgery. He was a remarkable man, loved by all especially his wife of 57 years, children and grandchildren. Beloved husband of Joyce Lilian (nee Nicholas). Loving father of Deborah Kathryn Farquharson (Lyell), Carolyn Dawn Stevens (John), Judith Eileen Taylor (Diarmuid), and Alison Joyce Taylor (Enn). Cherished grandfather of Kara (Ian), Britt, Taylor, Eileen, Erik, Laura, Aleksander Bruce. Predeceased by his parents Francis Reginald and Ethel Gertrude (nee Wilson) Taylor and his siblings Kathryn Ann Taylor, William Wilson Taylor and Eleanor Campbell. Beloved brother of Eileen Gardiner and dear brother- in-law of Ted and Marty Nicholas. Sadly missed by nephews Bruce (Judi) and Robert Gardiner. Special friend of Tom Bertulli (Derry). Don worked for INCO for 29 years. He began his career as Legal Counsel and retired as Vice-President General Manager of Nickel Basin Properties 1990. Following his retirement he was appointed Justice of the Peace for the province of Ontario. Don was active in his community, passion about children's charities and devoted to the Copper Cliff United Church. The family expresses their appreciation to the medical staff at the ICU at Health Sciences North for their excellent care, gentle guidance and support. A memorial service at the Copper Cliff United Church, 26 Park St. Copper Cliff Sunday January 27th, 2013 at 2:00pm. In lieu of Flowers donations to Sleeping Children Around the World, Children's Wish Foundation, or the Copper Cliff United Church are appreciated.
