VAN SANTVOORT, Marcel - The family announces with sorrow, his death in Sudbury, Monday, March 15, 2010 at the age of 80 years. Son of the late Jules and of the late Laurette (née Bélanger) Van Santvoort. Beloved husband of Anita Van Santvoort (née Sauvé) of Sudbury. Loving father of Pauline McGuire (Dale) of Timmins, Robert Van Santvoort (Carol) of Val Thérèse, Gérald Van Santvoort and Kenny Van Santvoort both of Sudbury and Roger Van Santvoort (Dora) of Wahnapitae. Predeceased by his sister Murielle Strachan (late Norm) and his brothers Ronald (Carmen) of Val Thérèse and Buddy (Francine of French River). Sadly missed by his grandchildren: Shelley, Brett, Todd, Crystal, Tammy, Tanya, Ashly, Jessica, Kristen, Amanda and his great- grandchildren, Aden, Brooke, Madison and Adam. Lovingly remembered by many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. The family will receive relatives and friends at the COOPERTIVE FUNERAL HOME, 222 Lasalle Blvd. E. (at Notre-Dame), Sudbury, Thursday evening from 6-8p.m. A funeral service will follow at 8 p.m. in the Funeral Home Chapel, Sudbury. Donations (by cheque only) to Heart & Stroke Foundation of Ontario would be appreciated.
