WHISSELL, Ronald - After a long battle with cancer, Ron passed away with the love of his family on Thursday, September 27, 2012 at the age of 73. Devoted and beloved husband for 51 years to Claudette Whissell (nee Lalonde). Loving father to Guy (Jackie), Louise, Monique Fink (Martin), Marie Taylor (Steve) and David (Holly). Dear “Grandpa“ of Stephanie (Oscar), Kimberly, Courtney, Cassandra, Nicholas, Matthew (Amanda), Vanessa (Allan), Benjamin, Amanda, Erika and Alexandréa. Great grandfather of Owen, Kaleb and Aurora. Ron is the brother of Albert (Sonya), Vic (Jeanette) and predeceased by Gerald (survived by Gwen). A Service in Memory of Ron will be held on Monday, October 1, 2012 at Pinecrest Remembrance Services (2500 Baseline Road, Ottawa) at 9:30 am, following the interment a Reception will follow at Pinecrest.
