WILLIAMSON, Lawrence - In loving memory of Mr. Lawrence Williamson 1928-2012 It is with heartfelt sorrow that his family announces his passing at St. Joseph's Villa on Monday, July 30th, 2012 at the age of 84 years with his family at his side. Beloved husband of 57 years of Genevieve (nee Savoie) of McCrea Heights and cherished father of Linda Sagle (Lance) of Hanmer, Alan (Sylvie) of Grand-Mère, QC, Lucille Colard of Sudbury, Brian of Val Caron, Patsy Vitiello (Enzo) of Val Caron and Diane Pharand (Marc) of Val Caron. He will be forever in the hearts of his grandchildren; Jonathan, Valerie, Angela, Shawn, Adrien, Jason, Jennifer, Daniel C., Kayla, Christopher, Matthew, Stephanie, Daniel M. and Courtney as well as his great grandchildren. Lawrence is also survived by his sister Ruby and his brothers Charles, Guy, Bob, Percy, Harvey, Thomas and their families in Québec. He was predeceased by his father Ernest Williamson and his mother Angélie Francoeur as well as his sister Lina Bernier. Lawrence moved to Sudbury in 1955 from Nouvelle, Québec in the Gaspé area to work for Inco where he became known as Frenchie. He worked at the Iron ore plant and then in the Transportation Dept. until he retired in 1991. Lawrence will be remembered for being a hard worker, a handy man always willing to lend a hand and especially for being a caring father and provider to his family. He will be truly missed by all who knew him. Resting at the LOUGHEED FUNERAL HOME Val Caron/Blezard Valley Chapel, 1815 Main St., Val Caron Friday, August 3rd, 2012 from 7-9 p.m. Funeral Mass will be held at Paroisse Ste-Marguerite d'Youville Church 4290 Regional Rd. 80, Val Thérèse Saturday, August 4th, 2012 at 11 a.m. Cremation at the Park Lawn Crematorium. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Alzheimer's Society or to the charity of your choice would be appreciated by the family.
