WISNIEWSKI, Michael Anthony - (April 23, 1942- March 13, 2010) - It is with great sorrow that the family of Michael Wisniewski announces his passing at his residence on Saturday, March 13th, 2010. Beloved husband of Cheryl Hill. Mike was so proud of his children: Shayne (wife, Liana Fabbro), Brent, Lauren (partner, Todd Payzant) and Adam. He was blessed with two grandsons: Blake and Jack. Loving son of Michael and Katherine Wisniewski (both predeceased). Dear brother of Lazo (wife Mickey, predeceased), Mary (husband John Buchowski), Verna, Jean (husband Roy Grenon, predeceased), Peter (wife Doris), Caz (wife Suzanne) and sisters-in-law Marie Wisniewski and Jane Wilson. Predeceased by his brothers, Joe, Steve and John and his sister Anne Friel. Son-in-law of Alexander Hill. Special brother-in-law and friend of Colleen O'Malley (Pat, predeceased), Terry Hill (wife Lise), Dave Hill (wife Joyce) and Maureen Friel (husband Rick). “Uncle Mike“ will be remembered with love by his many nieces and nephews. Mike worked as a Real Estate agent for many years before becoming owner and operator of the Weedman. Mike treasured the many friends he made during his running days as a member of the Sudbury Masters. He enjoyed sharing good food and good wine with friends and family. He was a fabulous and creative cook. In the past 4 years, Mike was happiest spending quality time with family and friends at his cottage on Lake Manitou. Resting at the JACKSON & BARNARD FUNERAL HOME, 233 Larch St., where friends may call between 2:00 p.m. and 5:00 p.m. and 7:00 p.m. and 9:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Parish prayers 7:30 pm Tuesday. Funeral mass at St. Patrick's Church, 39 Walford Rd. at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, March 17th, 2010. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the charity of your choice.
