A 22-year-old Sudbury woman has been identified as the person killed in a collision on Highway 17 at the intersection of Park Drive near Chain Lake Road.
The OPP continues to investigate, and officers remain on scene.
They are assisted by OPP technical traffic collision investigators (TTCI) and the Markstay-Warren Fire Department.
According to OPP, at about 8:30 a.m., an eastbound vehicle was slowing to turn left onto Park Drive.
At that time, an eastbound commercial vehicle struck the vehicle from behind. The impact sent the first vehicle into the westbound lane where it was struck by a third vehicle.
The victim's name is being withheld pending the notification of next of kin.
The drivers of the commercial vehicle and the third vehicle were examined at the scene by paramedics and released.
Highway 17 at Park Drive is now open in both directions. Motorists should use caution and expect delays. Crews remain at the scene to clean up a diesel spill.
