Sudbury - United Way has raised $1,833,381 to support community organizations. Last year the organization raised $2.43 million. The goal for 2009 was to bring in more people to the campaign itself. As a result, there were 26 new workplace campaigns, nine new United Way awareness projects and first-time involvement by youth.
